Muting a single chat is being built. When it arrives, you will be able to silence a chat's alerts for 8 hours, a week, or for good. Muting will only stop the alerts: the chat will still show new messages, and someone who @mentions you will still reach you.
There is no mute button in the app yet.
What you can do today
- Turn off whole kinds of alerts in Settings, under Notification Preferences. See "Notifications".
- If one person is bothering you, block them. See "Blocking someone".
