Where to find this guide, how to search it, and how it stays up to date.

Opening it

Tap the bean at the top left of the screen. Or:

Open Settings with the sliders button at the top of the screen.
Under BeanPool, tap Help & how it works.

In the web app, it is in the same place: Settings, then Help & how it works under BeanPool.

What is in it

Your community: its name, and whether its server can be reached right now. Tap it to switch to another community or add one.
Guides: how BeanPool works, the rules and how decisions are made, and common questions.
How to use the app: one short page for each task, grouped the way the app is: Market, Map, Talk, Pulse, Commons, Ledger and Settings.
The BeanPool project: what is new in this version, and a link to the website beanpool.org, with a Share button to send it to a friend.

Searching

Type a word or two in Search the guide at the top. It shows every page with all of your words. It works without a connection.

Short words work: "vot" finds "vote" and "voting".
If nothing comes up, try one simpler word, like "gift", "photo" or "block".

Always there, kept up to date

The guide is built into the app, so it works with no connection at all. When you are online, the app checks beanpool.org for a newer guide and uses it if there is one. The bottom of the guide shows which version you are reading.

The same guide is on the website at beanpool.org/guide.

Videos

Some pages may show Watch: and the name of a video. That link only appears when BeanPool has made a video for that page and your community has it in the Pulse, under Learn. Videos members add to Learn never show on a guide page. Every page is complete without the video.
