The 500-bean partner limit

Why trading with many people builds more trust than trading a lot with one.

What it limits

When your trust is worked out, trade with any one person counts up to 500 beans. Trade beyond that with the same person still happens and still pays. It just adds no more trust.

The same limit applies to your voice credits for votes on the Commons' beans.

What it does not limit

It does not limit how much you can buy, sell, give or receive with anyone. You can trade with one person as much as you both like.

Why

Trust should show that many people found you good to deal with. Two friends swapping beans back and forth should not be able to build a deep credit line on their own. If two people trade a lot and the beans flow almost evenly both ways, their trades with each other count for nothing.

What to do

Trade with more people. Every new trading partner adds to your trust.

The same guide is in the BeanPool app, and works there without a connection: open Settings, then "Help & how it works" under BeanPool. Guide version 6.
