Trust badges
Newcomer, Resident, Steward and Elder. What they mean, and why they unlock nothing.
What they are
Your trust badge shows how much trust you have built:
- Newcomer: starting out;
- Resident: 200 trust;
- Steward: 600 trust;
- Elder: 1,400 trust.
A member who has not traded yet shows FOUNDING on their posts.
Trust comes from a vouch when you join, from completed trades, and from trust an admin has granted.
They unlock nothing
Badges are recognition, not permission. Every member can post, trade, invite and vote, whatever their badge.
What your trust does change is how deep your credit line can go. See "Your credit line".
Where to see them
- Ledger, then Levels: your badge, how much trust you have, and how much more to the next. All levels shows every badge; ones you have not reached yet are marked with a lock. That only means "not yet", not that something is locked away.
- What builds your trust: how much you have traded, with how many people, and your rating.
- On posts and profiles, next to each member's name.
In the Market, the Trust filter can show only posts from members with a certain badge or higher.
Admins and badges
A community's admins can give a member a badge. That deepens their credit line, like earned trust. It does not count as trades: it adds no voice credits and does not let them send gifts.
